15.11.2012: The great Broadway classic returns to the prestigious Sadler's Wells Theatre in London from 7th August until 22nd September 2013.
Already back in 2008 and at the same theatre, the guest show with the 50-year anniversary production was a huge success with audiences and critics. The Observer, for instance, raved: "An exciting, frenzied triumph" and the Times commented enthusiastically on the "outstanding cast". Looking forward to the West Side Story in London!

25.08.2012: This Saturday, Leonhard Bernstein, WEST SIDE STORY composer, would have been 94! Bernstein is considered one of the most influential conductors and composers of the twentieth century; he conducted some of the best orchestras in the world, including the New York and the Vienna Philharmonic and his numerous recordings are still praised as music milestones.
26.09.2012: A day that would make history: This Wednesday, WEST SIDE STORY celebrates the 55th anniversary of its premiere! With that event at the Winter Garden Theater in New York an entirely new genre was created, the first combining music, drama and dance in a new oeuvre.

The groundbreaking choreography of legendary Jerome Robbins, story by Arthur Laurents and the unforgettable music of Leonard Bernstein with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim created a masterpiece that has lost nothing of its explosive force and edge. The film version of WEST SIDE STORY won ten Academy Awards, including Best Film. This summer, enjoy director and choreographer Joey McKneely’s vibrant production. McKneely, famous in Broadway and worldwide, has worked with Jerome Robbins and is presenting his original choreography as fresh as it was on the day of its premiere. The young performers, all cast in New York, interpret the show with stunning energy and technical brilliance, delivering high-class acting and musical performances. The excellent orchestra is led by renowned conductor and composer Donald Chan.
